Pitch Wood Saponified (PWS)

Application:

The Pitch Wood Saponified (PWS) is applied as complex (plasticizing, airinvolving, frost - resistant and antiseptic) additives to preparation of concrete of different function (easy, heavy, hydroconcrete, a penopolistirolbeton, foam concrete and others). Production of foam requires existence of the foamer of any producer. It is easily dissolved in water without lumps and a deposit, works without clogging of the foamer. The concrete goods some plants apply SDO additive to production of a keramzitobeton (for example, the concrete goods Lianozovsky plant, Moscow). Many enterprises produce modern construction concrete — foam concretes, penopolistirolbetona and polysterene concretes.

Features of use of SDO pitch:

Additive pitch the wood saponified SDO, is entered into concrete mix in number of 0,1.. . 0,2% of the mass of cement
It is applied for:

• economy of cement for 5 - 7% ;
• decrease in density of concrete on. 100 - 150 kg/m3;

SDO pitch, having ability to airinvolvement, reduces a water surface tension and it promotes formation of very small air bubbles — spheroids. At the same time advantage of SDO consists not so much in introduction of air to cement mix how many in transformation unevenly the large air inclusions distributed in it (which reduce durability and frost resistance) in myriads of small air bubbles of spherical shape. The size of these bubbles less than 1 micron, in difference from some other frothers where the size of these bubbles reaches 5 microns and more. A number of experts position SDO as a steam generator.

Besides, property of this frother such is that he breaks big air inclusions into a set small that influences in the most salutary way quality of the received foam concrete and a penopolistirolbeton. These bubbles, taking place between grains of cement and sand, reduce internal friction in mix, increase its mobility. The raised udoboukladyvayemost of mix and prevention of a rasslaivayemost is a consequence of it. Along with it, concrete mixes with the involved air more hold water as air bubbles cork channels on which water moves, at the same time water cannot crush bubbles in which pressure exceeds atmospheric in a type of their trifle. This property of pitch of wood saponified was used not only in production of products from heavy concrete mixes, but also in production of foam concrete and a penopolistirolbeton.

Expense and method of preparation of SDO:

Depending on the tasks standing on production from an assotriment of the made production, the equipment and parameters of technological process, working water solution of SDO additive from 2% to 10% concentration which, as zatvoreniye water, is entered into concrete mix at the rate of 0,05% — 0,1% of additive in recalculation "on dry" * from cement weight prepares. Recommendation of preparation of frother for foam concrete:

Liquid (~ 50% ) to dilute the pitch wood saponified (PWS) with water (t=30 - 600C) in a volume ratio ~ 1: 12 and to mix. 10% working solution with a density not less than 1017 kg/m3 is received ~. To prepare 10% solution of limy milk (from powdery not extinguished lime) with a density of 1055 - 1057 kg/m3. Limy milk is the foam stabilizer.
To add solution of limy milk in a volume ratio 1: 1 to working solution of SDO pitch, to mix mix up to the monotonous weight and to give to the foamer.
Note:
1. It is necessary to apply bezdobavochny cement to light foam concretes.
2. SDO frother allows to receive various brands of foam concrete on durability and density, and also to save a cement consumption on foam concrete of brands 400 - 500.
