Formic acid of 85% (metane acid, HCOOH)

Formic acid (HCOOH) (metane acid) is the transparent combustible liquid possessing a pungent caustic smell. It is carried to monobasic carbonic acids. It is registered in the register of nutritional supplements under the E236 index, as harmless preservative of a natural origin.

It is remarkable that formic acid has good solubility in acetone, benzene, glycerin, toluene. It perfectly mixes up with water, ethyl oxide, ethanol.

Scope of application:

• It is used in protravny dyeing
• It is initial raw materials at production of medical supplies, pesticides and solvents.
• Salts and air of formic acid are called formiata.
